Kenco Steel Magnolia is the matriarch of our herd operations. Arguably the finest progeny out of the famed KenCo Glamorous line comes Steel Magnolia, the superb Steel Force daughter that began her successful career as the high seller in the 2012 KenCo Family Matters Sale. At that time, Ken Butner described her as “without a doubt the best show prospect we have produced at KenCo”, and she has done nothing but improve with maturity. This big footed, big boned, big ribbed female has been stellar on the move since day one. She has proven to be a powerful donor force at Silent Night Farms in Texas. Everyone that visits the ranch points to Steel Magnolia and her calf from ANY sire, and says “I want that one!” If it wasn’t enough that she has such a magnificent phenotype and pedigree that seems to work with any bull, she has an easy going temperament that she stamps on her progeny. In her career to date, she has produced the high selling purebred Simmental calf in The Black Label Event, and her calves have led off the Land Of Lincoln Sale, to name just a few. And her recent grand-calves are equally impressive, proving her generational fertility and importance. Her genetic impact is profound and deep, with these progeny influencing important Simmental herds across the country.
